Yes. Affirmative to that. I do in fact have the case of the Mondays. Now many may wondering, what is she whining about now, or what is the matter today? And the answer is well, nothing is actually wrong. Yes I'm sleep deprived, but that is nothing new. So aside from that everything is fine. Cheery almost. Except, well, it's Monday.
I had a fabulous weekend. On Friday, I hung out with my friend, A, and we did a boozy drunk food night. Not quite junk food as it was sushi, but one of those rainy, gross nights where we wore sweats and ate good food and drank some J. Weed. Fabulous. It was reminiscent of my college junk food nights, where we didn't feel like dressing up or getting drunk, so we'd order pizza, buy chips, make popcorn and gorge on M&Ms in sweats or the equivalent. Oh how I miss those days/nights with the crazies. Anyway, Saturday was equally as good. I went to a St. Patty's party with K and J at one of their friend's houses. The night was complete with good people, music, food and drink. I hadn't played pong in forever and was on the table quite a bit. It's also not a St. Patty's Day party unless you take at least one car bomb. As my bro said in a text "so sweet on the lips." Clearly, he is a fan. There were also, some tasty jello shots :) The best part of it all, no hangover the next day! Finishing out the weekend, on Sunday, I was able to do laundry at K & J = no laundromat, glorious! Eventually, meandered my way home late afternoon.
But then bam...it hit me. The full recognition that it was Sunday. Delving deeper that really means the next day is Monday and I have to go to work. Work, a place where I thoroughly enjoyed up until about 3 weeks ago. Now, it's like there is wall and I literally felt my body tense as I was slapped in the face with reality. Perhaps this feeling about work is temporary, a speed bump if you will and as soon as things are figured out, I'll feel differently (that's what I'm hoping for at least--> best case scenario). Until then, I guess I just have to trudge through my case of the Mondays and for that matter Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays to get to the weekend.
