I.am.a.chump

I hurt. My body hurts, both upper and lower body. I started working out on Monday. There is a guy who runs the school's fitness center and is basically a free personal trainer for me. Awesome. Well not right now, because he is kicking my ass. I did arms and chest on Monday and legs on Wednesday and I can barely go up and down stairs or look ridiculous doing so and I can finally move my arms above my head today. Believe me it still hurts. I suppose it's a good pain, but I just need it to start dissipating. Now I am a chump because I knew it would be difficult and would hurt, but I think because I was a decent athlete before that I would just bounce back after not doing a whole lot in the past year or two. I mean, I can go and play bball or a game of lax no prob, but apparently that is not using the same muscles as intensely as lifting. I'm hoping that once I don't hurt as much, I'll do a bit more cardio on my days off. Anyway, I'm complaining my body hurts...a lot. It's really too bad none of you are around me to watch me move slowly...I'm sure it's pretty comical. Hopefully I can keep this up until it becomes a routine! Keep me going...

  1. I hope this doesn't affect your dancing at the wedding this weekend. I can see it now--every dance you attempt ends up looking like the robot due to your stiff and sore body. That's ok, I have the cure--liquor! That'll loosen you right up :)

  2. HAHA that's pretty funny. I actually have a week to recover before the wedding, because it's next weekend. However, I will be working out next MWF, so it's possible that I might still be doing the robot...
