Quaker Quick Step

Ok, so I'm back. After an uneventful, but rejuvenating Spring Break, I am back at work. If you are wondering about the dogs, they were good. Surprisingly, work is going well (so far). I should know my status of next year within the next 3 weeks...hopefully. Anyway, enough of that.

Random thoughts:

a) I am happy baseball season is officially started! Go Phils!
b) I enjoy the sun and warm weather, but the last few days are bit overkill...it is not summer yet. I need 70 and sunny.
c) The Quaker Quick step has propelled me back into working out.

Now for those of you for who don't work with me. The Quaker Quick step is something the school nurses at both divisions began this past week and will go for a month. We all have pedometers and track our steps throughout the week. Then we have chosen a fruit or veggie to represent us anonymously and it will be on a graph/chart. 10,000 steps is the goal for each day as that means you are being heart healthy, but clearly you are trying to keep adding to your steps. My minimum is 11 thou and change. I am trying to hang with the big dogs at work aka two very fit and constantly moving PE teachers and the marathon running school nurse. I am unclear how I will do comparatively, but I can do my best. Yes, I'm sure many of you are thinking "Oh here she goes...being competitive." I admit this is true, but there are no prizes, and it's only helped me to actually get back into going for runs and doing some strength training. My body hates me right now, since it is only the 8th day, but that's a good hurt, right? I'm finally doing some things for me again...
